Reid encourages recognition of military service

Member for Robertson Dr Gordon Reid is encouraging residents to take advantage of The Saluting Their Service Commemorative Program.

The program is open for applications from Australians who have served in conflicts or peace operations, or from their families on behalf of an eligible family member, to apply for Certificates of Appreciation.

He said the program gave recognition to those who have been involved in military operations.

"I would encourage any former military personnel, or their families on behalf of an eligible family member in Robertson, to apply for a Certificate of Appreciation if they have been involved in conflicts or peace operations.

"It is important that our nation never forgets the sacrifices made by those who served our country and helped ensure peace around the world," said Dr Reid.

The Member for Robertson will host a special morning tea where Certificates of Appreciation will be presented to applicants, their partners, and families.
