Students use rosary beads to count their prayers
Each morning throughout October, students at St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School used rosary beads to count the prayers they recited.
"The month of October is, by custom, the month of the Rosary," said principal Ms Nicole Davies.
"Each morning, we said one decade of the Rosary, which is made up of one Our Father, and 10 Hail Mary's.
"Rosary beads were used by all children to count the prayers as they are recited.
"This only took around three minutes to say each day and it's something the children practiced peacefully together at school assembly.
"The Rosary Prayer tells us about the life of Jesus and his Mother, Mary
"The repetitive nature of the prayer makes it an agent for calm and concentration."
