Shop at aged care home replaces supermarket outings

Coronavirus restrictions have stopped many residents of aged care homes from taking outings to the supermarket.

Woy Woy provider Blue Wave Living has responded by setting up its own shop, which it operates twice a week.

"Our staff stock up on lots of goodies including food and personal health items for the residents to come along and have a browse," said marketing manager Ms Kylie Scott.

The shop has now been operating for some time.

"It has been such a hit," she said.

Ms Scott said the shop was a staff initiative.
