Tree-planting tally reaches 473

The Peninsula's Grow Urban Shade Tree group has announced that its street tree planting tally is now 473.

This was "an amazing number considering the challenges and uncertainty we experienced this year," said group member Ms Jenny Wilder.

She attributed the "great result" to the support of the community, particularly "those who have embraced the opportunity to help beautify and green their suburb".

"Our passion is helping people choose and plant a tree."
