Meditation on Women's Day

A meditation will be held at Ocean Beach at 6:30am on Monday, March 8, for International Women's Day, followed by a breakfast provided for attendees.

The event is being organised by Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch and Making Meditation Mainstream Central Coast, dedicated to women and mindfulness.

Ms Tesch said women should be celebrated every day.

"Women's potential is often underestimated yet our power to persevere through adversity is something that cannot be overlooked by anyone.

"Women are the very backbone of our community and it is crucial we take a moment to stop and celebrate together the changes we have made and continue to make in our community and the world.

"The isolation caused by social distancing has been incredibly challenging and this event is an opportunity to reconnect and welcome new residents to the Coast.

"Supporting women in my community through meditation and offering connection with other locals is a privilege.

"I am looking forward celebrating International Women's Day."
