Support for those suffering hardship

Haircuts, hot meals, clothing, food hampers and much needed emotional support were all on offer at the CWA hall in Woy Woy on Thursday, February 25, for those suffering hardship.

"This was the first night of our service with Central Coast Disaster Relief," said Country Women's Association Woy Woy branch president Ms Jane Bowtell.

"We're very proud to be able to play a small part in bringing this wonderful outreach service to the Peninsula."

Ms Bowtell said the mission of Central Coast Disaster Relief was "to enrich the lives of individuals whom are experiencing hardships and alleviate human suffering by mobilising the power of volunteers and the generosity of community".

"And they're doing just that," she said.

"Many small acts of kindness add up to widespread community kindness.

"This first evening is sure to be the start of many more wonderful services to come."
