Umina school opens school grounds

Umina Beach Public School is allowing parents and carers to enter the school grounds, as long as they follow coronavirus guidelines.

This includes keeping a distance of 1.5 metres, using the QR code and minimising their time in the school.

"Socialising between adults should take place off school grounds to avoid group gatherings," said relieving principal Mr Chad Tsakissiris.

"At this time, we ask parents to phone the school to make appointments to speak with their child's teacher as we need to keep our classrooms safe for students and staff.

"Afternoon departure procedures will remain in place where teachers will take students to their assigned gates.

"These guidelines are subject to change in line with NSW Department of Education and NSW Health advice."
