No rise in bowling club fees despite Covid impact

The committee of Umina Beach Men's Bowling Club has decided to keep the annual membership and locker fees the same as last year, despite the impact of the coronavirus.

Green fees normally cover the cost of reducing membership fees from $90 to $50, according to club secretary Mr Peter Springett.

However, over the past year due to the pandemic, income from green fees has not been great enough to meet this cost.

"Despite this, the committee has agreed to keep the membership and locker fees the same as last year," said Mr Springett.

"There will be no increase in fees this year."

The membership fee is $50 and the locker fee $3.

"The membership fee includes the required affiliation fees to Bowls NSW and to Zone 15 Bowls Central Coast, which the club will still subsidise," said Mr Springett.

He said the fees should be paid by Wednesday, June 30.

"Otherwise, you will become un-financial and not be eligible to play in the remaining club championships or take part in upcoming club events, such as President's Day and Presentation Day.

"We have the cheapest membership and locker fees on the Central Coast," Mr Springett said.
