Month's rainfall less than a third of average

The Peninsula has received less than 30 per cent of the average June rainfall this month.

Rainfall has totalled 47.6mm for the month as at Friday, June 26, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

June is normally the wettest month of the year with an average rainfall of 162mm.

This month has had three days with more than five millimetres of rain and six days with more than one millimetre.

More than half of the month's total, 25.8mm, fell in the eight days to June 25.

The cumulative total for the year is 705.5mm, which is 13.9 per cent less than the half year average of 819mm.
