Brigade president joins clean-up effort
Pearl Beach Fire Brigade president Mr Andrew Leigh is among Rural Fire Service volunteers to join the NSW State Emergency Service efforts to clean up mud and debris from recent floods in northern NSW.
"The flood waters have wrought havoc up the coast around Taree, Port Macquarie and surrounds," said brigade captain Mr Lindsay Boyd.
"The NSW SES has put out the call to RFS volunteers to help in the massive task of cleaning up the mud and debris, with many including our own president Andrew Leigh joining in the effort.
"Anyone else interested in helping is encouraged to contact their local SES to find out how they can assist.
"It is a long road ahead."
