Patonga brigade farewells long-time member
The Patonga Volunteer Rural Bush Fire Brigade has farewelled one of its members who has taken up a role as Learning and Development Officer with the Rural Fire Service in Coffs Harbour
Mr Justin Zwan, who joined the brigade at the age of 15, went on to have a career in the Rural Fire Service.
He is currently the operations officer position in the Cumberland-Macarthur district.
He has led teams in the mitigation of the varroa mite.
He held the rank of deputy captain and training officer with Patonga brigade.
Justin joined the brigade in the footsteps of his father Mr Gary Zwan and his cousin Shannon.
Brigade members said that he was always ready to bring a smile to everyone's face and would be greatly missed,
