Film and concert at Troubadour folk club

Cello-guitar duo Ilse de Ziah and Ian Date will present a double event at the Troubadour folk club at 2pm on Sunday, June 29.

They will show the documentary film Living the Tradition, where Ms de Ziah explores the origins of Irish airs.

Filmed in Ireland, the film delves into Irish musical heritage through stories, traditions, and melodies spanning generations.

This will be followed with a live concert featuring Ilse on cello and guitarist Ian Date on guitar.

The concert will feature music from their recently-released album, Here and There.

Troubadour president Mr Michael Fine said: "Their fusion of Celtic music, with jazz and world music is infused with a classical sensibility.

"It will be a great Sunday afternoon of inspiring music, stories, humour and cultural history.

"What better way to kick back, drop the shoulders and enjoy hearing the stories and tunes of what made our country what it is today."

Tickets are available online through http://troubadour.org.au.
