Pickleball receives funds to reduce costs

Central Coast Pickleball Woy Woy has been awarded a $2000 "to enhance wellness of older Australians through pickleball coaching".

The money will come from a Club Grant from Ettalong Diggers.

The funding for the project will reduce the cost to retired members, ensuring that they can actively participate in a sport that promotes physical fitness, skill development, and community engagement.

Played on a small court with paddles and a perforated ball, the sport is promoted as easy to learn and suitable for older Australians for its focus on fitness, social connection and overall well-being.

Central Coast Pickleball Woy Woy is based at Peninsula Leisure Centre.
