Bank branch pays tribute to Ken Dixon
The Community Bank Ettalong Beach has paid tribute a long-serving board director Mr Ken Dixon, who died recently.
Co-chair Mr Michael Tame said: "Ken dedicated many years to the Community Bank, bringing passion, purpose, and integrity to his role.
"As a key board member, often responsible for community grants, sponsorships, and partnerships, Ken was a driving force behind our mission to return up to 80 per cent of profits back into local projects that strengthen and uplift our region.
"His leadership saw significant support directed to initiatives such as the Brisbane Water Secondary College Sports Academy, the Woy Woy Roosters, Grow Urban Street Trees, and local rural fire brigades.
"Ken had a unique ability to see the potential in people and programs and to back them wholeheartedly.
"Ken's dedication to community banking was never about recognition.
"It was about doing what's right for the people and places he loved, and helping ensure future generations would benefit from a stronger, more connected Peninsula.
"Ken was humble, generous and completely committed to giving back.
"His legacy is not just in the projects he supported.
"It's in the relationships he built, the trust he earned, and the difference he made."
