Wet weather sees spate of accidents

The recent wet weather has seen a spate of motor vehicle accidents around the Peninsula.

Two children were taken to Gosford Hospital after a collision between their scooters and a car on Tuesday, August 5.

The collision occurred on Hobart Ave, near Melbourne Ave, with traffic affected in both directions.

The previous day, Monday, August 4, saw southbound traffic queued back on Woy Woy Rd after a vehicle crash.

Emergency services responded.

No serious injuries were reported and the roadway was cleared.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene of a two-car crash at the intersection of Ocean Beach Rd and Australia Ave, Umina, on Saturday, August 2.

"Possible minor injuries only" were reported.

A person was reported trapped in a car in a multi vehicle crash on Blackwall Rd, Woy Woy, near Park Rd and Bowden Rd, on Wednesday, July 30.

The road was closed northbound, with diversions put in place along Bowden Rd, Edward St and Victoria Rd.

The person was released from the vehicle into the care of NSW Ambulance.

Two patients were transported to hospital.
