Women's golf team retains pennant shield
The Everglades Women's Golf Pennant team has the 2025 District Pennant Shield for a second year in a row with an undefeated run of seven from seven matches.
The team consisted of captain Cathy Bowman, vice-captain Lorraine George, and Ann Kane, Linda Birrell, Heather Burrett, Gayle Colley, Georgie Clune, Lorraine Linnert, Lyn McMurray, Trish Melnik, Donna Mitchell, Sylvia Saunders and Jan Titmuss.
Celebrations began with a team dinner at the Everglades Nine Restaurant on July 7.
It continued at an official district ceremony on July 21 at The Breakers Club, where all eight district teams gathered for the award presentation.
