Donation drive is more successful this year

A donation drive held in Ettalong for the Escabags charity in July has received donations of 92.82 kilograms of essential items.

The drive, held by Ettalong Diggers, has raised 20 kilograms more than the club's previous drive.

"These donations will directly assist individuals and families escaping domestic and family violence, providing them with vital essentials during a time of crisis," said Diggers community manager Ms Kim Cole.

"Escabags provides free, discreet Escape Bags filled with toiletries, personal care products, and comfort items for both adults and children.

"The response from our members, guests and the wider community has been nothing short of extraordinary," she said.

"Every single donation represents a lifeline for someone in need, and we are so proud to work alongside Escabags to make a tangible difference."

Ettalong Diggers is a registered stockist of Escabags,

"The club remains committed to supporting important community initiatives that promote safety, dignity, and hope," said Ms Cole.
