Matt Barr to serve as relieving director
Woy Woy South Public School principal Mr Matt Barr will serve as relieving Director, Education Leadership, for the Tuggerah Lakes Network of Schools for six weeks from Monday, August 18.
"I am very fortunate to have been offered the opportunity," he said.
In his absence, Ms Sandra Lappan will be relieving principal and Ms Phillipa King will be relieving deputy principal.
In other staff news, Ms Michelle Reid received a Regional North Public Education Award at the end of Term 2.
"The prestigious award is in recognition of her tireless, ongoing commitment to curriculum leadership," said Mr Barr.
"This is especially impressive, as only three teachers from the entire Central Coast area received this award."
He said another staff member, Ms Natalie Dwyer, wouldreceive a World Teacher's Day award, at a prestation ceremony in October.
"Ms Dwyer is a highly collegial, flexible staff member who gives up hours of her personal time for the organisation of Aboriginal Education programs and IT support," he said.
