Netball association holds grand opening
The Woy Woy Peninsula Netball Association held its grand opening of its new clubhouse at Lemon Grove Netball Courts and of round one of the season on Saturday, April 29.
State Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch and Federal Member for Robertson Dr Gordon Reid joined association president Ms Sharon Bailey in cutting the ribbon to open the clubhouse.
The ceremony included a march-past by the clubs in the association.
An award was made for the best club, with the winner being TKT Ocean Beach Netball Club.
Awards were also presented for the last season.
The Megan Anderson Junior Player Award was presented to Jessica Skehan.
The Senior Sportsperson Award went to Jodie Skehan.
Abby Burns won the Annual Umpires Award.
The Margaret Thoms Service to Netball Award was presented to Catherine Bailey.
Joanne Ely was awarded Life Membership.
