Special meeting to consider 'unification' of bowls clubs
The Umina Beach Men's Bowling Club has given notice of a Special General Meeting, initiating "unification" with the women's club.
The meeting will be held at 10am on Sunday, April 14.
It will consider the motion: "That the Umina Beach Men's Bowling Club be dissolved and, in conjunction with Umina Beach Women's Bowling Club, establish and register a new club called Umina Beach Bowling Club."
Club secretary Mr Peter Springett has asked members to arrive by 9.30am to allow time "to register and receive a copy of the Draft Constitution (version 4.4) and the Draft By-Laws (version 7)".
He has urged all members to attend "this very important meeting".
