Women gather for sunrise celebration of Women's Day

Around 100 women gathered at Ocean Beach for a sunrise celebration of International Women's Day on Friday, March 8.

"It was another beautiful morning for our fourth International Women's Day celebrations at Ocean Beach," said Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch.

"Aunty Robyn Reid's welcome to country started with a powerful message: 'Hear her roar. Invest in our women and our children, for they are our future.'

"I welcomed everyone to watch the sunrise and spend some time for themselves to sit and enjoy the beach meditation.

"The most important relationship we have is with each other and it's up to each of us to raise the energy of women in our community together.

"I also gave gratitude for Mother Nature - the greatest woman of all time."

Free meditation is held at Ocean Beach every Saturday at 6:30am.
