Fallen sign could have been sad accident

You'd have to question the logic of whoever put this sign up at the Ettalong Ferry Wharf.

It has fallen backwards in the last week or so, if it had of fallen on someone it could have killed them.

There would have been numerous small children around in the last few weeks too.

The concrete attached to the sign seems very small compared to the size and weight of the sign.

We live in a time of dramatic climate changes which would include heavy swells breaking on our beaches.

Why didn't they put it further back? Attach it to something? The ferry wharf for obvious reasons always has a lot of people around it, I'm not an engineer but even I can see this could have been a very sad accident.
