Woy Woy Park Run holds 290th event
Woy Woy Park Run celebrated its 290th run on Saturday, April 26, with 287 runners taking part.
They were roughly evenly divided between male and female runners, with 57 first-timers attending and 45 personal best times being recorded.
Andy Long was the first man to finish in a time of 18:42 minutes, while Lylah Glynn in the 11-14 years category was the first female to finish.
She scored the highest age grade percentage at 83.31 per cent.
Runners with the most park runs were Barry Crossley with 443 runs and Caro Vos with 431 runs.
Eleven first timers at the park run were Robbert De Lange, Amanda Kimpton, Joshua Scott, Oliver Anderson, Edwina Martin, Jane Ridley, Bridie Kean, Danielle Scott, Tanya Gernetzky, Christine Van Der Kolf and Saskia Steinhauer.
Personal best times were run by Luke Ridley, Lylah Glynn, Stuart Rae, Scott Smith, Ashley Pernecker, Connor Ridley, Jacob Price, Stephen Smyth, Matt Shields, Brenda Castro, Rob Truscott, Tracey McHugh, Luke Phillips, Anoton Rehrl, Kerry Hong, Kai Pedley-Smith, Isaac Foster, Zoe Richmond, Michael Beardsell, Rachael Calverley, Erica Berchtold, Dale Hall, Isabella Noy, Scott Morgan, Shane Oliver, Anders Stromhall, Gavin Bollard, Michelle Hillier, Heath Noy, Jack Bacon, Katina Alahouzos, Rachael Vant, Xavier Xuereb, Sarah Xuereb, Catrina Crossley, Helen Mower, Paul Ridley, Ninette Keller, Emma Gordon, Madeleine Price, Elizabeth Stevens, Rosanna Delvecchio, Catherine Ryan and Mark Hofman.
Volunteers on the day were Dale Bachelor, Angela Chudleigh, Neil Dufty, Mark Ferris, Pippi-Lotte Maessen, Melissa Porter, Tom Porter, Jennifer Small, Scott Wedesweiler, Jssmine Wols and Roslind Wols.
Since Woy Woy Park Run started in July 2018, 9498 participants have completed 48,494 park runs, covering a total distance of 242,270km.
