Reid gains 49 per cent of Peninsula's primary vote

Labor's Dr Gordon Reid gained 49.0 per cent of the primary vote counted on the Peninsula (12,722 votes), in Saturday's Federal election.

This compares with 45.45 per cent across the Robertson electorate as a whole.

Liberal Ms Lucy Wicks received 26.75 per cent (6944 votes), compared to 30.28 per cent across the electorate as a whole.

The Greens' Ms Cheryl Wallace received 8.30 per cent (2156 votes) of the Peninsula votes, One Nation's Mr Matt Lloyd 7.06 per cent (1833 votes), Legalise Marijuana's Mr Tom Lillicrap 3.76 per cent (977 votes), independent Ms Lisa Bellamy 3.00 per cent (779 votes) and Trumpet of Patriots' Mr David Borg 2.13 per cent (552 votes).

More than 60 per cent (15,892) of the 25,963 Peninsula votes were cast pre-poll.

Best results for Dr Reid were the majority votes of 51.08 per cent at BWSC (545 votes) and of 50.56 per cent at pre-polling at the Woy Woy Community Centre (6748 votes).

Worst were 39.31 per cent at Booker Bay (215 votes) and the South Woy Woy (Coastlink) hall 42.94 per cent (307 votes).

All his results at other Peninsula booths were greater than 45 per cent.

Best for Ms Wicks was 38 per cent at Booker Bay (208) and 29.42 per cent in pre-polling at Broken Bay Scout Hall (749) and 29.28 per cent at pre-polling at the Peninsula Community Centre (3908).

Lowest primary vote for Ms Wicks was 18.28 per cent at Woy Woy South Public School (191 votes) and 18.46 per cent at Brisbane Water Secondary College (197 votes).
