Reid sees election swing to him of 7.58 per cent
Labor's Dr Gordon Reid has been returned as Member for Robertson in the Federal election on Saturday with a "two-candidate preferred" swing to him of 7.58 per cent.
Dr Reid acknowledged the win yesterday, Sunday morning, in a social media post, simply saying "Thank you, Robertson."
State Labor Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch commented: "Congratulations, Gordon. A win that is incredibly well deserved."
Dr Reid held 59.81 per cent of the two-candidate vote, compared to 40.19 per cent for Liberal Ms Lucy Wicks, a swing against her of 9.74 per cent, with 91,647 of the votes counted at 1:54am yesterday.
The electorate had 114,983 eligible voters.
Dr Reid received 45.45 per cent of the primary vote counted (39,700 votes), while Ms Wicks received 30.23 per cent (26,402 votes).
The Greens' Ms Cheryl Wallace received 8.78 per cent (7666 votes), a decline of 1.24 per cent.
One Nation's Mr Matt Lloyd received 6.77 per cent (5915 votes), an increase of 2.93 per cent.
The Legalise Cannabis Party's Mr Tom Lillicrap received 3.35 per cent (2930 votes), while independent Ms Lisa Bellamy received 3.29 per cent (2872 votes) and Trumpet of Patriots' Mr David Borg received 2.13 per cent (1864 votes).
