School community to voice concerns about preschool
The Umina Beach Public School community will make a "collective submission" voicing concerns about the siting of the new public pre-school in the school grounds, following a meeting at Club Umina on Wednesday, April 30.
The school's Parents' and Citizens' Association announced it would send survey results and collected e-mail responses to local Members of Parliament and relevant government bodies, accompanied by a letter from the reflecting sentiment of the school community.
The association said it would follow up its request for broader consultation and a planning timeline, on behalf of the school community.
It would continue to provide updates as responses were received.
The association would begin early conversations with the school regarding impacts on day-to-day operations during the construction period, including changes to playground use, drop-off and pick-up logistics, and Years K-2 greenspace reallocation.
"We remain committed to open dialogue with government stakeholders, school leadership, and the broader community as we work through this process together."
