New board is 'experienced leadership team'
The Rotary Club of Brisbane Water is promoting its new board of directors as an experienced and dedicated leadership team.
President Ms Cherie Simpson is described as aretired healthcare professional and charter member, who brings extensive experience to her third term as leader, as well as public officer and club administration and service director.
Vice-president Ms Jayne Mote is a retired librarian, club co-founder and past president, who continues in a role of youth service co-chair.
Treasurer Mr Mark Simpson is director of Fitness First Woy Woy, who has served as treasurer for several years.
Secretary Ms Di Bartok is described as an award-winning journalist, editor, publicist and playwright, who was a charter member of the club and acts as public image co-ordinator and bulletin editor.
Membership director and youth service co-chair is Mr Mitchell Gordon, proprietor of Central Coast Antiques and Collectables, who is a past president and club charter member.
Rotary Foundation chair is Ms Susan O'Neill is a retired businesswoman and founder of the Pink Umbrella Foundation, who was a club charter member and past president.
International service director is Mr Steven Gagau, an engineer, management consultant, and University of Sydney researcher, who brings global perspective through his work with the PNG Association of Australia.
Club environment representative is Ms Lillias Bovell, managing principal of Alba Environmental and former Kincumber Rotary Club director.
