Helicopters asked twice to airlift people injured in falls
Helicopters were asked twice last week to help NSW Ambulance with people injured in falls.
The Careflight Helicopter was tasked to assist NSW Ambulance after a person fell from a balcony in Pearl Beach on Sunday, July 6.
Careflight was expected to land at Umina Oval but, due to incoming storm activity, it had to return to base.
The patient was transported by road to Royal North Shore Hospital.
Four days later, on Thursday, July 10, the Toll Rescue Helicopter was tasked to help NSW Ambulance with a patient injured in a fall down stairs at Booker Bay.
The helicopter landed at Ettalong Oval and this patient was also taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.
