Local sports grants available
Peninsula sporting organisations can share in up to $50,000 set aside for the Gosford electorate under the Local Sport Grant Program.
Grants of $2000 to $20,000 are available out of the $50,000 available, said Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch.
She said that the program ensured that local sports groups could grow and thrive.
"The grants are all about the grassroots, organisations that play such an important role in growing local sport and participation.
"This vital funding helps our local clubs and their many volunteers to provide more opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the benefits of active recreation.
"With the critical role sport plays in keeping people healthy, active and socially connected, this funding is vital to community health, wellbeing and sense of identity."
Applications close at 1pm on Monday, August 18.
