Guest judge at CWA cookery competition
Guest judge for the cookery competition at the Woy Woy branch of the Country Women's Association last week was Land Cookery Committee member Ms Brooke Law.
Ms Law explained the judging process in detail and discussed her reasons for choosing the place-getters along with great suggestions about how the entries might be improved.
Seven entries were received for the butter cake and four for the Microwave Strawberry Jam.
Winners for the Plain Butter Cake were: first Ms Susie Roberts, second Ms Di Spinks and third Ms Jeanetta Morgan.
Winners for Microwave Strawberry Jam were: first Ms Spinks, second Ms Roberts and third Ms Morgan.
This week's competition is for Chocolate Butter Cake and for Apple and Cranberry Chutney.
